At the Subway Station

At the Subway Station

It was an unusually warm day in late fall. People were just standing around, waiting for a train to arrive at the platform.

"It's my own fault we missed the prior train."

"But we got on the wrong train. It happened by my mistake."

"Never mind."

The subway train arrived. All of the seats on the train were taken so they had to stand. She was standing near the window. He was standing next to her.

"Don't just stand there doing nothing—do something!"

"That' why you're standing on my foot, aren't you?"

"Oops. sorry. When does the hike start?”

“At 10:00. No, wait—my mistake—it starts at 10:30.”

"And?"

"Looked straight ahead and kept walking."

"It looks like snow."

“We have to step lively if we don't --"

"You know when I bought this coat last week. They said the test involved subjecting this coat to intense cold. That's why I wanna play with the idea of testing this coat."

"And? If it doesn't work well, you and me will be subjected to extreme cold."

"No one should be subjected to extreme cold. And I know that when it comes to weather, there's little else to do but hope and pray. The harmful effects of hypothermia are well known."

"O.K. I see. But if I have a numb feeling in my toes, I - "

"I bet we will hike down immediately. Promise."

"It gets colder and colder. My fingers went almost numb." She was complaining of a numbness in her fingers.

What is an Assistant Organizer?

What is an Assistant Organizer?

Assistant Organizers (AOs) are members of a Meetup Group who help the Organizer with the day-to-day running of the group. Their name(s) will appear in the left sidebar of the Meetup Group's page, below the Organizer's photo.

Assistant Organizers can:

•Create, edit, and delete Meetups

•Email the entire Meetup Group
•Approve or decline pending members
• Give members custom titles
•Remove and ban members from the group
•Edit, delete, and close Message Board discussions
•Create and edit Message Board forums
•Add, edit, and delete photos and photo albums
•Add, edit, and delete About pages
•Create, edit, and close Polls
•Add, edit, and delete the list of venues the group uses
•Add, edit, and delete Files

Assistant Organizers cannot:

•Change the Meetup Group's name, description, primary location, or web address

•Change the group's main photo

•Set up autoscheduled events

•Turn the Mailing List on or off

•Turn the Message Boards on or off

•Change the group's topics
•Make the Meetup Group public or private

•Change payment settings
•Control the customizable automated welcome message that goes to new members
•Control the customizable profile questions

•Edit the group's Sponsorship settings

Dear MHT members!
Winter is just around the corner! And we have many plans during the winter time inclusive of skiing. BTW, Why don't you hike to enjoy wild field of reeds? When it comes to Myeong-Seong, Wild field of reeds is well-known to Korean and some foreign tourists.
- When : At 7 : 45 am On November 16th
- How to go there? By public transportation.
- Where shall we meet?
☞ Yongsan station 2nd floor under a big artificial water wheel.
☞ If you want to meet us at Euijungbu Station, come to the Exit 5 gate outdoor until 8 : 55am.
Don't be late! because we will get on the train #Line 1 at 7 : 58am and arrive at
Euijungbu Station at 8 : 55am.
and then through the Exit 5. we will go to the Bus Stop(No 138-6) being located one stop ahead of the next stop. Actually, Euijungu Subway Station is located in the middle of the bus stops.
That bus departure time is at 9 : 20am. so, we should be wait the bus 10minutes earlier to occupy seats! we have to travel by bus 1 and half haours :)
If you are late, There is no way to meet you!^^
- Where are we heading for? Via Euijungbu Station -> Bus to Sanjong Hosu -> Mt.Myeong-Seong -> Tour Sanjong Lake -> Bulgogi Party -> Return to Seoul.
Hiking Mt.Myeong-Seong Mountain :
: Park of Sanjong Hosu -> Check Rock -> Palgakjong -> Jainsa Temple!
It will take 4 hours to hike.
and then we will tour nearby the big lake.
- Preparations : Lunch Box and Hot water for Lunch, Extra Warm clothes, Gloves.
- Bulgoggi Party
: We will have Bulgoggi & Grill BBQ Party in the evening before return to Seoul.
